Elevate QuickSeam Reinforced Strip (RPFS) 150mm (6")
Elevate Reinforced Perimeter Strip (RPS) is designed to mechanically fix EPDM membrane whilst remaining non-penetrating. Like most single ply material, EPDM will try to shrink a little over time. Although EPDM can accommodate most of this due to its ability to elongate, RPS is used where the membrane goes through an upwards angle change (e.g. an upstand) to provide additional stability to hold the membrane in place. Reinforced Perimeter Strip consists of a reinforced EPDM membrane strip laminated with an EPDM pressure sensitive tape adhesive. The reinforced EPDM membrane is 15.24cm wide and mated to a 7.62cm wide pressure sensitive adhesive.

All work surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt.
1. Lay the RPS along the angle change with the taped section facing up and furthest away from the perimeter
2. Mechanically fix the RPS to the deck using plates or a flat batten at max 300mm centres
3. Lay the membrane up to the RPS, and apply a strip of primer to the underside the width of the tape section of the RPS
4. Once tacked off, remove the backing paper and apply the membrane to the RPS
5. Roller over the tape to create a secure bond
6. Apply Contact Adhesive 5000 to the rest of the area to apply the membrane (the rest of the RPS including over the plates or batten bar, and the upstand) and to the back of the membrane.
7. Once tacked off, roll the membrane into place ensuring all air has been remove with a roller
