Elevate SA-19 Primer
Elevate SA-19 Primer is used to prime and prepare exterior concrete, wood, and metal surfaces to enhance the adhesion of Elevate V-Gard vapor control membrane. It's also used to prime seams when required. It contains synthetic rubber and synthetic resins, dissolved in inflammable organic solvents.

Depending on the surface to be glued:
• Porous substrates: approx. 3 - 4 m²/liter
• Non-porous substrates: approx. 5 – 10 m²/liter
Preparation
Substrates need to be clean, smooth, dry, and free of dust and foreign materials prior to application of the primer. Metal surfaces must also be free from remaining processing oils. Clean with broom or rags to remove any moisture or contaminants. SA-19 Primer pails that have been exposed to temperatures below 5°C have to be brought to ambient temperature prior to installation.
Application
The Elevate SA-19 Primer may only be used in dry-weather-conditions and at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +45°C. Stir thoroughly before and during use. Apply using a brush or roller in a thin uniform layer. No moisture may be enclosed between the primer and the self-adhering vapor control layer. For the best results, install the V-Gard membrane as soon as the primer is dry. It is dry when sticky to the touch, but not messy. V-Gard membranes must be installed on the same day as the application of the SA-19 Primer. Use of SA-19 Primer is also required for improved seam performances.
